5 Ways to Make Money That Won’t Cost You A Dime

Are you out of cash?

Do you wonder where your next paycheck will come from?

Have you been unable to sleep because of financial stress?

Many people have those moments. It’s difficult to cope with a poor financial situation.

Making some extra money without spending any is easier than it sounds. Consider these ideas:

  1. Create a service using one of your talents. Everyone is good at something. Some talents that people frequently pay for are: writing, website design, public speaking, playing a musical instrument, humor, singing, and much more. Make a list of your talents and see if there’s a demand for any of your skills.
  2. Sell something online. Craigslist and eBay are popular options, but there are many other websites that also allow people to post classified ads for free. Huffington Post has a great article on selling your stuff.
Look through your attic and make a list of items that could be sold. You can create a small business selling second-hand items for a profit. This process is called “product flipping.”
  3. Offer to babysit, housesit, or watch someone’s pets while they’re on vacation. There are plenty of people who need help with these tasks and they’re willing to pay. These could be great options for you if you have extra time.
You could offer your services online via Craigslist, or make a pamphlet to leave on local billboards and pass out in your neighborhood. Remember to include a phone number!
Word of mouth is one of the best ways to spread the word. If you do a good job, your clients will recommend you to their friends.
  4. Teach. Everyone has knowledge that they can share with others. Think about how to find people who would like to learn what you know.
There are websites that allow members to create online “classrooms” to teach specific skills. Many of these sites allow teachers to charge their own rates.
Prepare a course on a topic that interests you and then teach it. If you need space, you may be able to reserve it at a local library for free.  If your students love your class, they’ll recommend it to others, and your business will grow.

As you can see, there are many ways to make money that won’t cost a penny. Use your creativity and add in some determination to succeed. Before long, you won’t have to worry about how you’re going to pay the bills.
